A sound mind is in a sound body. The proverb which is of Greek origin insists that both mind and body should be healthy and sound and the same proverb can be said to be the motto of the Department of Physical Education. Started with a three-year under graduate Course in Physical Education, the aim of the department is to work as a stepping stone for physical education students, who will serve the Nation after acquiring professional knowledge and skill required for various sports. The department has produced many players at the University &National level in various games and brought laurels to the college. The Department is making consistent progress in various fields. Since the starting of the department, the students of Physical Education Department are participating in various tournaments at the inter-college, inter-university, state and national level.
