About
The department of mathematics is one of the pivotal departments in LJNH Govt. Girls Degree College Kotla Khurd Una . Department came into existence in the the college in the year 2020. It has wide range of program of study for under graduate (B.A. /B.Com) courses of Mathematics. Department has implemented the CBCS for grading B.A./B.Com since 2020 and credit-based system for Under graduate students since 2022-2023. All these years the Department has taken strenuous efforts in nurturing and empowering students in achieving their academic goals. Department comprises of four faculty members having specialization in Applied and Pure Mathematics.
VISION:
The mathematics department’s vision is to graduate distinguished mathematician in knowledge and various skills to provide a unique learning experience which will enable the students to realize their potential and mold their overall personality.
MISSION:
Mathematics department provides rigorous preparation of citizens whose career path require expertise in mathematics. We provide an effective way of building mental discipline and encourage logical reasoning and mental rigor. We are committed to demonstrative science as a human endeavor and as a way to understand natural world. The faculty in the mathematics department see themselves as resources for our university, region, state, nation and world.
Objective:
- To guide and prepare the youth in such a manner that they are able to get ample scope after the completion of their graduation and post-graduation.
- Use library and internet resources to locate information on mathematical topics.
- To develop distinctive modes of thoughts including optimization, logical analysis inference from data and use of symbols.
- To recognize and appreciate the connection between theory and applications.
