  • The undergraduate department was established in the year 2004 affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University Shimla.
  • Number of total books in the College Library: 6300
  • Since its inception the enrollment of students in UG section has been maintained.
  • The teachers educated from various universities have provided their services in this department.

  • To increase interest among the students towards Economics subject also motivate students to learn basic of Economics and to keep update on Indian Economy.
  • To undertake research projects sponsored by different funding agencies.
  • To continuously strive to provide quality education in tune with orientation towards higher academic excellence.
  • To provide holistic learning opportunity to the students.
  • Promote employment opportunities for the students.

  • The mission of the Economics Department is to impart high quality Under Graduate and Post Graduate teaching facility coupled with basic research knowledge.
  • To build self-confidence and a positive frame of mind.
  • To acquaint the students with various economic concepts and principles of economics.
  • The departments thrust is to make the students engaged in analytical and applied economics tools and try to implement them in everyday lives and solve crucial socio-economic issues and challenges ahead.
  • To impart basic knowledge of research and statistics among students that will help students in further research in higher studies.
  • To conduct seminar, workshop and group discussion etc. for the students.

  • To impart critical thinking on the students and make fruitful contribution to the nation building.
